For my birthday El Duende (that's my mom) bought me a gocco machine! We got it from this cool lady who makes fascinators with feathers, how about that? So these days I mostly pretend to be working on my book while looking anxiously out the window. The mail man has come every day, but goccoless so far. There's one useful thing that came out of this wait though. I think RISO drying racks are just too expensive, so I came up with this (elegant) alternative made out of tack glue and combs:
Hurry mail man, carrier of my gocco!

Ingenious!
There's such a thrill when one finds a low-tech alternative to the Martha Stewart -ish product.
Hi! Thank you for the wonderful comment on my blog. I am a gouache painter and only use acrylic for my backgrounds. I use very small brushes, real thin ones. I don’t really work digitally because I never really learned, I do play around sometimes. I feel could never create something on the computer like I can with real paint. Are your illustrations digital? I love how free formed your drawings are, they are so original. Oh yes, Happy Birthday :)
I too love my Gocco, but it sits in the cupboard sadly. I need to get it out. All the best with yours - I love your illustrations and can imagine what great things you will produce with your Gocco!
I got it guys!! it's here! :)
Thanks for your comments :)
Just so stunned with the (and now I lack the right english word :)... with the amount of creative ideas you have. Really, really enjoyed my visit (love the "birthday-police").
Hello! Thanks for your comment on my blog, I so want a gocco machine! I hope you have lots of fun with it!
